Vertical Mill Operator
M-TH 6am-4:30pm
$19+/Hour Based on Experience

As a Vertical Mill Operator, you would be responsible for operating and maintaining vertical milling machines to produce precision parts and components according to technical specifications and engineering drawings. This role requires a strong understanding of machine processes, safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and adjust vertical milling machines to perform machining operations
- Adjust machine settings.
- Perform welding tasks to join metal components, using MIG (Metal Inert Gas).
- Select and install the appropriate tools, fixtures, and workpieces for each job.
- Make necessary adjustments to tools and fixtures.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
- Identify and address any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on milling machines.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings and quality control checks.
- Complete and submit reports as required by supervisors.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, vocational training or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder, with specific experience in ring rolling preferred.
- Previous experience operating vertical milling machines or similar equipment is preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to use measuring instruments accurately.
