Welder | $19+/hr - DOE

Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm

We are hiring a Welder for a local manufacturing company located in Humboldt, IA. This position works independently and as part of a team to successfully weld steel tanks according to job orders. The ideal candidate should be reliable and have prior MIG stainless steel welding experience. The Welder position will work Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm and pays $19+/hr. depending on experience. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity with an established company! 

Responsibilities:

• Weld stainless steel tanks and assemblies with MIG welding equipment
• Weld along vertical and overhead weld lines
• Follow work orders, tank sketches and blueprints
• Position parts in jigs or fixtures and clamp along layout marks
• Select welder settings according to welding chart specifications
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
• Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts
• Clean and degrease parts
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or splatter
• Completes quality control and regulatory paperwork as needed
• Maintain welding equipment in good working order
• Keep work area clean and free of debris

 Requirements:

• 2 years of 300 series stainless steel welding experience, preferably in the 12-gauge thickness range, is preferred
• Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Must have good math skills
